La Laguna renews its tourist website to help recover visitors after entering the new normality
The portal offers information on cultural and leisure activities, accommodation and public services and will have a version available in English, as well as downloadable maps in four languages.

The City Council of La Laguna has launched on Friday a renewed website of the tourism area, in order to encourage the arrival of visitors to the municipality. The Councillor for Tourism, Maria Jose Roca, stresses that “the revival of the sector after the hardest stages of the health crisis is part of a new normality that has already begun and involves, among many other things, a type of tourism of proximity.
In order to try to attract as many people as possible, she adds that “various measures have been implemented to bring the cultural and heritage values of the municipality closer, as well as the services we offer, through channels as dynamic and attractive as this website,” the mayor says.
María José Roca points out that the portal (www.turismodelalaguna.com) is structured for “optimum attention to all markets and sectors of interest and seeks to function as an agile and simple means of communication to inform users of all the products and projects of Tourism in La Laguna, as well as the latest news, photo galleries and links for all those who wish to visit us.
With this new website, it replaces the previous one with a more visual, current and useful design by including several features. Among its most outstanding features is the updated publication of data on how to get to and move around in the different means of transport, a varied offer of accommodation and a wide range of cultural and leisure activities. It also includes all the necessary information to make the reservations for the free guided tours offered by the Council, which will be taken up again with restrictions and all the security measures as from next month.
Another relevant aspect of the portal is that it will also be available in English, so that it allows the attention of international tourism that want to start planning their holidays in La Laguna once the movement between countries is reactivated. Similarly, includes downloadable maps in Spanish, English, French and German.
Apart from launching this new version, María José Roca highlights “the effort made to improve communication in the area through other actions, such as the renewal of accounts in social networks to publicize the municipality as a friendly, sustainable and safe tourist destination, offering always updated information and links of interest”.
