Accessible heritage with new inclusive schedules adapted for people with disabilities
The agenda aims to disseminate the historical heritage in an adapted way

The Councillor for Historical Heritage of the City of La Laguna, Elvira Jorge, participated this morning in the collection of inclusive agendas. A project designed by the area of Historical Heritage, in which the Association Activoz has collaborated, becoming the first assignment by a public administration. The aim is to disseminate the historical heritage of La Laguna in an adapted way, so that all people with intellectual disabilities, hearing or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) enjoy the historical attraction of the city.
The young members of the association, excited about this project, have been the protagonists of the delivery. In addition, it has been printed by people with disabilities, which is another step towards inclusion. The diary is made up of pictograms, easy reading… So that those with cognitive or reading comprehension problems do not have problems reading it.
A laborious work of several months, which has an added value for them, “expands their self-esteem feeling that their work has a meaning, to feel professional,” says Almudena Diaz, president of the Association Activoz.
The Councillor for Historical Heritage has congratulated them for their great work done with self demand, motivation and quality, as well as having met the deadlines.
The inclusive agendas will be delivered free of charge to various associations on the island of Tenerife, in order to disseminate the Historical Heritage in an increasingly accessible way.
